With over one thousand reference
and picture books (history, technical, creative) the library is the most extensive
photographic publications holding in the mid-Hudson region. In addition to the book
collection, the Center offers current issues of periodicals - over twenty-five journals
and newsletters - including: American Photo, Art Paper, Photo Metro, The Philadelphia
Photo Review, Afterimage, Photo Design, The Photograph Collector, SF Camerawork, Outdoor
and Travel Photography, Nueva Luz, Views, and Aperture. Artists, educators, students,
and the general public are welcome to use the library as a study resource on the days the
Center is open. |
| SLIDES: With
over four thousand slides of work by contemporary photographers, the Center's slide
registry serves as a rich study and curatorial resource. Slide material covers all
exhibitions, with complete slides sets on exhibitions. |
As a courtesy to our members, the
Center staff is available - on an appointment basis - to sit down for half an hour and
discuss individual's portfolio content and preparation. Members from all over the country
avail themselves of this service; if desired, the photographer's work may be included in
the Center's Slide Registry. |
