2006 Juror's Statement

We are pleased to announce this years winners, Tanya Marcuse of Barrytown and Danny Goodwin of Delmar, NY. Each photographers will receive $1,000 to assist them in pursuing their artistic goals. This is Ms. Marcuse's second time receiving the award, she first received it in 1998. Both Ms. Marcuse and Mr. Goodwin were featured in CPW's Inaugural Regional Triennial of the Photographic Arts in 2005.

CPW received a record number of submissions for the 2006 Fellowship Fund and the pool of portfolios showed extraordinary strength, continuing to prove once again that the upstate New York region is a vibrant home to and inspiration for numerous talented artists.

The 2006 Photographers' Fellowship Fund was juried by founder, director, and curator of the Albany International Airport Arts & Cultural Program, Sharon Bates.

The 2006 Photographers Fellowship Fund was made possible by the generous support in part from the Daniele Agostino De Rossi Foundation, David & Gina Maloney, and the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency, and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
