We are pleased to announce this year's winners, Marla Sweeney of High Falls and Richard Edelman of Woodstock, NY. Each artist received $1000 to assist them in pursuing their artistic goals.

There were a high number of submissions for the 2002 Fellowship Fund and the pool of portfolios showed extraordinary strength, proving once again that the upstate New York region is home to and inspiration for numerous talented artists.

The 2002 Fellowship Fund was juried by Charles Stainback, the Dayton Director of the Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery and Professor of Liberal Studies at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.

The 2002 Photographers Fellowship Fund was made possible by the generous support from: The Milton & Sally Avery Arts Foundation, Flavia Robinson/Daniele Agostino Foundation, Howard Greenberg Gallery, Susan Fowler-Gallagher, Kenro Izu, Gail LeBoff, David and Gina Maloney, Gloria Nimetz
