Connie Imboden’s photographs have been exhibited extensively at galleries and museums in England, France, Germany, Italy, Finland, Spain, Costa Rica, Panama, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and the United States. Her work is represented in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in NY, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the National Museum of American Art in Washington DC, the Corcoran Museum in Washington DC, and the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris. Her first book of images, Out of Darkness, won the Silver Medal in Switzerland’s Schonste Bucher Aus Aller Welt (Most Beautiful Book in the World) Award. Imboden’s work has also been featured in Aperture, American Photo, Camera and Darkroom, Photo Metro, Photo Review, Black and White, View Camera, and Zoom Magazine. Imboden currently teaches photography at the Maryland Institute, and has lead workshops across the United States, France, and the Czech Republic.
