and the Whitney, showed his Memory
Rendering series here first in Leslie Tonkonow’s 1995 exhibit and
publication, The Cultured Tourist.
Muniz has broken boundaries and expanded our notions of what photographs can do
and represent. His 1999 New York City Studio Tour with the Center was powerfully
illuminating, mirroring his profound intellect.
