In
1980 Phyllis was awarded one of the first Photographers’ Fund Fellowships and
was featured in a solo show. Over the years she has taught workshops with the
Center and been in guest curated shows. Phyllis has gone on to have major museum
shows and publish numerous books of her images showcasing everything from tribal
ceremonies to the theatre of Halloween. Galembo has remained for over twenty
years a vital advocate for CPW and annually brings her students to CPW for
gallery talks.
