LARRY
FINK, Martins
Creek, PA
Under
the tutelage of Lisette Model, this two time Guggenheim recipient, developed an
unique and offbeat style of empathetic reportage exploring the underbelly of
human interactions. A professor at Bard College, Fink’s work has been seen at
the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum, and published regularly in the New
Yorker, Vanity Fair, and the New York
Times. A talented photographer and musician – who could have been a stand
up comedian - Fink has graced our magazine, gallery, Permanent Print Collection,
and Workshops, including a candlelight talk during a storm!
The show he curated for us in 1996, Familiar
Relations, traveled to England after debuting at CPW and was featured in the
PQ.
