GEORGE HOLZ, NYC & High Falls, NY
Holz
studied with Helmut Newton and worked in Milan, Italy before opening his NYC
studio in 1985. Since then he’s gone on to became one of the most respected
and sought after photographers in the industry, with photographs in Italian Vogue, French Elle, Mademoiselle, Harper’s Bazaar, New York, and
GQ. Discovered by the Center, CPW
guided Holz from his commercial and fashion work on a journey to fine art
photography. His first solo show at the Center, and later publications in PQ
magazine served as such a positive experience that he bought his own home in our
area and to this day is one of our most treasured workshop presenters. His work
is included in the Center’s Permanent Print Collection. He has gone on to show
fine art photographs at galleries internationally including Staley Wise Gallery
in NYC, G. Ray Hawkins in LA, and Robert Klein in Boston.
