Hosoe
traveled from Japan for his first, of many, workshops with at the Center in
1992. His visionary presence had everyone he met -
from staff to artists to his workshop students – know they were in the
presence of a true Master. After spending a week with us he decided that
Woodstock was “the most spiritual place in the world.” He produced an entire
series of photographs made in the Woodstock area, which are published in Eikoh
Hosoe : Photographs 1950-2000.
