Debbie
taught a CPW travel workshop at her home in Louisiana in 1995 – she lead us
through the bayous, the old mills, Cajun country, Zydeco shows, dance halls, and
showed us light in all its forms. We went home with great pictures, new
inspiration, and dear friends. Caffery continues to bring her spirit and energy
to Center Workshops and her work has been featured in gallery shows and graced
the cover of our PHOTOGRAPHY Quarterly magazine. Her monograph, Carry Me Home, published by the Smithsonian Institution, received
major acclaim. An artist with a transformative vision, Caffery's photographs, exhibited and published worldwide, are
celebrated for their intimate mystery and shadows.
