Sarah Hoskins is a documentary photographer from Libertyville, IL. She may spend years or a couple of days on a project – nonetheless her goals remain the same – to enlighten, educate, and to foster social change. What these women have allowed me to document is reward in itself. It is generous of them to let me photograph as they struggle to re-align their lives at a transitional housing facility. Her imagery has been seen at CEPA Gallery, Buffalo, NY; Silver Eye Center of Photography, Pittsburgh, PA; and Columbia College, Chicago, IL. Her work has been published in Photo Metro, and she is a recipient of an artists residency grant from the Illinois Arts Council.
