Richard T. Walker
Using video installation, photography, sculpture and performance, my work compiles imagery, spoken dialogue, text and original music compositions to construct scenarios that investigate complex relationships between verbal language, visual language, the natural environment and our inner selves.
In meditating on the ideology of landscape and nature, I interrogate the conception of such places, questioning what these environments they mean to us and what the particularities of such an understanding reveals about who we are, whether real or illusory.
