Giorgio Baravalle of de.MO: Unlearn - Think Sat-Mon, January 15-17

The world today is in constant flux. Conventions, once regarded as factual and absolute, can no longer be considered concrete and certain.  To navigate this ever changing landscape, Unlearn is a three day workshop designed to help you expand your problem solving and communication strategies through design based thinking exercises, dialogue, and critique. The understanding of rules and how they shape our lives and creativity will be thoroughly explored by challenging the relationship between form and content. Unlearn will push the boundaries of each individual's knowledge to enhance creativity.

This workshop is targeted to visual thinkers, including students, educators, professionals, and visual strategists interested in the exploration of communication and image. Computers will be available on site for use.

de.MO is an award-winning multidisciplinary design firm that produces diverse projects — books, web sites, corporate identities and branding, multimedia, packaging — representing a wide range of international clients and their businesses.  At the heart of de.MO is a respect for dialogue and collaboration. de.MO acknowledges that the best design results from a strong exchange of ideas and a creative process with the client in order to deliver innovative design, down to the smallest detail.   Founded in 1997, and since 2002 housed in a 19th-century barn in Millbrook, New York — de.MO is headed by Giorgio Baravalle and made up of a small team of talented designers.  See their projects at www.de-mo.org
