| Through
the Arts Administration Internship, the
Center for Photography at Woodstock offers individuals the opportunity to
gain an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day operations of an
artist-centered not-for-profit space.
By participating in CPW's wide-range of
activities including working on exhibitions, coordinating events, and
collaborating with CPW's full time staff Interns leave the experience with
a broader, deeper understanding of contemporary photography and how they
can pursue a career in the arts - whether as a working photographer or a
curator or arts professional. Final projects include curating a temporary
exhibition from CPW's permanent print collection and contributing a book
review to CPW's quarterly publication, PQ. |
Each spring, CPW
seeks candidates to help facilitate
the Woodstock Photography
Workshop & Lecture series,
an education series where national and international photographers serve as
guest instructors, which runs from June through mid-October. Workshop Interns participate in this renown program by working side-by-side with each guest instructor and students who come from all over the USA and abroad to study with in the inspiring setting of Woodstock and the surrounding Catskill region. It is the ideal hands-on-experience for any emerging photographer seeking to enhance their understanding of the craft, become exposed to different teaching styles and photographic approaches, and pursue a life-long passion in photography.
