En Foco | New Works Award
New Works Photography Award is an annual award which selects photographers of African, Asian, Latino or Native American, Pacific Islander and Aleutian heritage through a national call for entries.
New Works provides artists with the support to create or complete in-depth, photographic work which explores themes emanating from their personal experiences, in any style and / or genre (documentary, autobiographical, landscape, abstract, digital, pinhole, alternative processes, etc). and the infrastructure needed for a professional exhibition in the New York area. The winners also receive an honorarium and photographic supplies from Bogen, Print File, Lowepro, Tiffen and Fuji.

Light Work's Artist-in-Residence Program
Since 1976 nearly 300 artists have participated in Light Work's Artist-in-Residence program. Each year Light Work invites 12-15 artists to participate in this program. During their month-long residencies each artist is given the opportunity to create new work at our studio facility in the Robert B. Menschel Media Center at Syracuse University.
