En Foco | New Works Award
New Works Photography Award is an annual award which selects photographers of African, Asian, Latino or Native American, Pacific Islander and Aleutian heritage through a national call for entries.

New Works provides artists with the support to create or complete in-depth, photographic work which explores themes emanating from their personal experiences, in any style and / or genre (documentary, autobiographical, landscape, abstract, digital, pinhole, alternative processes, etc). and the infrastructure needed for a professional exhibition in the New York area. The winners also receive an honorarium and photographic supplies from Bogen, Print File, Lowepro, Tiffen and Fuji. For more information click here.

Light Work's Artist-in-Residence Program
Since 1976 nearly 300 artists have participated in Light Work's Artist-in-Residence program. Each year Light Work invites 12-15 artists to participate in this program. During their month-long residencies each artist is given the opportunity to create new work at our studio facility in the Robert B. Menschel Media Center at Syracuse University.
