Bio

Jeannette Louie examines consciousness and explores how perception is influenced by emotional states of being.  Her multi-discipline artworks have been exhibited at Homie Berlin, the Urban Institute for Contemporary Art, Mills College Art Museum, Esso Gallery, Ace Gallery, Spaces, Sala 1 and Alberto Peola Arte Contemporanea.  She is a recipient of a Rome Prize / American Academy in Rome, a Creative Capital Foundation Grant and a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Fellowship.  Other fellowships have been received from the Brodsky Center at Rutgers University, the Center for Photography at Woodstock, Yaddo, The Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation, Roswell Program, Vermont Studio Center, Skowhegan School and Sculpture Space.
